This chapter proved to be an experience to write. This scene in particular, I almost ventured down darker roads. This scene came about after a debate on rather to have Taregan kill both Zaki and Cheveyo. It would have made sense for his character, but not the story. A lighter more hopeful tone had already been set and to take a turn like that would be too sudden and weird in my opinion. So, I wrote this scene to still show that Taregan is a huge crazy jerk, but still also keeping two of our main characters.
Oddly enough, a lot of my writing starts out quite dark, but the more I work on a story, it begins to lose that element. Strange, given I've always loved stories with extremely dark undertones, and still have a love of dark story animations. On the flip side, I also really love super cheesy '80s anime.
And that is your look into my weird brain.
In other news I'll be at Animazement this weekend. I don't have a table, this convention is for fun only. I have very much been looking forward to it. It was the first convention I ever attended, and I am happy to be returning. :D
